About Nurture
Established in 2019, Nurture Counselling Services works with children, young people, and families in the Snowy Mountains region of New South Wales. I am passionate about supporting children to feel understood, accepted, and able to grow in ways that are meaningful to them. Services can be delivered in my Cooma office or, where helpful, in your home. I offer private counselling sessions and support for self-managed or plan-managed NDIS participants.

Counselling
Child and Family Counselling, Individual or Group Sessions
Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations. My counselling sessions are tailored to what you or your child needs. Sessions may support emotional
wellbeing, identity, relationships, family changes, school stress, grief, anxiety, or times when life feels
overwhelming. My aim is to provide a safe, respectful space where children, young people, and families
feel understood, supported, and able to move toward what matters to them.
Social Connection and Communication Support
Get the Most out of Life
Some children want friendships and connection but find social expectations confusing, exhausting, or
hard to navigate. These sessions support children to understand themselves and others, communicate
their needs, build confidence, and connect through shared interests. The focus is not on making children 'fit in', but on helping them develop authentic, respectful relationships in ways that work for them.
Emotional Wellbeing and Regulation Support
Guidance & Skill Building
Some children experience big feelings, sensory overwhelm, shutdowns, meltdowns, or distress at home,
school, or in the community. I can work with your child and family to understand what may be sitting
underneath these responses, including sensory needs, communication needs, anxiety, change, fatigue,
or unmet support needs. Together, we can build practical strategies for co-regulation, self-
understanding, emotional safety, and supportive routines.
Social Groups
Coming Soon
Nurture will offer social groups for children and young people based on shared interests, age, needs,
and demand. Groups will be designed to support connection, confidence, communication, and
belonging in a safe and respectful environment. More information will be available soon.
Payment Options
Options available for private clients and NDIS participants.
NDIS Participants
Is your child an NDIS participant? If your child has social and emotional goals we can tailor a package for you to work on these goals.
As a counsellor who is registered with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) I am currently able to provide services to those who are self managed or plan managed.
Current session cost is $130 for a one hour session, this includes a written session report for the NDIS if needed (but will exclude personal details to ensure privacy).
NDIS participants will be invoiced after sessions and payment is expected within 7 days of service provision.
Private Clients
If your child does not have access to funding I am able to offer private services. The current session cost is $130 for a one hour session. This includes any follow up, referrals or phone support between sessions.
Payment is expected on the day of service provision.
Every child deserves to be understood, supported, and
accepted as they grow into themselves.
