Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations. Your counselling sessions will be tailored to what you or your child needs. It could be around processing the feelings and emotions you are experiencing or finding a way forward if you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed. My goal is to empower you to live the best version of your life, whatever that may be!

Individuals Social Skills Sessions

Is your child struggling socially? Do they want to make friends but don't know where to start? Or perhaps they can initiate friendships but have difficulty maintaining them. At Nurture, social skills sessions can be provided in a one on one setting that is individually tailored to your child's needs. I will also be offering social skills groups which will give your child the opportunity to practice these skills in a more natural setting. These groups will provide an opportunity to connect with other children with a shared interest.

Individual Emotional Regulation Skills Sessions

Is your child having difficulty regulating their emotions? Do they have emotional outbursts at home or school? Perhaps they are on the austim spectrum and find some situations overwhelming. I can work with your child on recognising emotions in themselves and others and how to respond to big emotions in a positive way. Make an appointment today to talk about strategies we can implement to help your child with self-regulation.
